A Video Tour of Our new Lakehouse

August 29, 2018 by Patti 22 Comments

Hey friends! I’m so happy you popped in today and I’d like to welcome you to our new home.  I’ve never tried to upload a video here before and it’s been a test, to say the least. I tried shooting both vertically and horizontally from my iPad but still, I get these two black bars on the sides of the video.  The good news is, that if you’re viewing from an iPhone or iPad, you can touch the screen to enlarge it, but on our old desktop computer this is the best view possible. I really want to get this figured out so I can do more videos in the future so if any of you have any advice or tutorials you can direct me to I’d truly appreciate it!

For now, I’d like to welcome you to my home.  It is about a 12 minute tour so if you’d like to pour yourself a glass of whatever you like to drink, go ahead and do that.  Then get comfortable as I show you around 🙂

Thank you so much for coming by.  I hope I didn’t make you too dizzy with my shaky iPad.  I promise I’ll try to get better at this in the future.

Blessings friends,

Get Rid of the Grinchy Christmas Spirit for Good!

December 8, 2017 by Patti 14 Comments

How are you feeling this holiday season?  Based upon my quiet observation of:  people rolling down their windows and laying on horns to let those stopped in the middle of the intersection know just how stupid they really are, tired shoppers snapping at exhausted clerks in long lines at the shopping mall, or sobbing toddlers in a heap on the floor begging their mamas to be done already, I’d say that there is quite a bit of Grinchyness of spirit going around this year.

So I’m pulling up a post from Christmas past to share with you again.  I do hope it strikes a chord with those of you who may be feeling a bit undone and lacking in Christmas cheer.

The Post That Surprises Even Me!

October 31, 2017 by Patti 39 Comments

I never thought I’d be writing this post.  Not now.  Not this soon.  But after only three years of living in and loving our beautiful Southern Colonial style home, the home that made all our lovelier belongings (mostly those from my mom) exclaim, “This is where we were always meant to be!,” and made my husband and I walk around sighing over all that we’d been blessed with, knowing that we didn’t deserve a lick of it.

“We are moving.”

Yes, writing those two words surprises even me.
