Perseverance Part 8 – Persevering to Health

June 6, 2017 by Patti 4 Comments

Do you ever sense God speaking something to your heart and you’re left wondering what in the world He’s asking of you???

Several years ago, as I was reading my Bible, I felt the Lord whisper a phrase to my heart …

“Debbie, I want you to get your house in order.”

I don’t know about you, but as I read Scripture, sometimes God will speak something to my heart that at the      time seems to come out of left field. Yet, it is often something so needed in the moment.

Huh God? What was that again?

“Get your house in order.”

Today is the final post in a series on Perseverance that three amazing writer friends and myself have been  working on together.  These beautiful ladies are:

Mary Geisen, Holly Barrett, and Debbie Kitterman.

If you haven’t already read our previous posts in the Perseverance series you’ll find them here: 🙂

  1. Bravely Overcoming Fear
  2. Persevering in Recovery
  3. When Prayers Remain Unanswered
  4. The Sting of Rejection
  5. Wishing, Waiting & Pursuing
  6. Turn & Face the Changes
  7. Through Pain to Freedom

In today’s post, Debbie shares with us her experience of being asked by God to get her house in order and her reaction to that request.  You can continue the story at her website here.

Thank you for joining all of us for this series.  It has sure been fun for us and I hope you’ve benefited from reading our thoughts as well.

Patti – what a journey the last 8 weeks has been as we have each shared our journey through and to persevere. Thank you for always being there to champion and cheer me on. It is a honor to have been in this series with you, but more than that I count it a blessing to be able to journey through life with you as my friend. I am so glad God had our life paths cross and that we have maintain the relationship from coast to coast. What a fun 8 weeks we have just finished. Love you !

Patti – I have loved your series. The timing overlapped with a few posts I had on persevering. It was great to get so many different perspectives on the topic. I am still in a season of persevering. In fact, I have done a little cleaning house today. Trying to make more room for God to fill me in this season. Maree

Thank you Maree. It seems like the season is never-ending and I guess that is good. Growth is important. 😉
