One Fantastic Easter Table!!!

March 27, 2015 by Patti 26 Comments

Twigs Easter Table

Sometimes I don’t feel like the awesome self that God created me to be.

Sometimes, even when I’m writing posts about Being Grateful, trying my best to make you laugh, and trying my best to make me laugh at myself, I can’t pretend to feel like everything is perfect.

Twigs Easter Table 034

But that’s okay. I gave up perfectionism quite awhile ago and exchanged it for a life of living with as much authenticity as I can, and it is a much easier way to live.

Twigs Easter Table 002

So when I’m feeling a little frustrated that this broken wrist of mine makes it hard to create or write, or even type . . . when slowing down allows feelings I’ve been burying with busyness to surface and reminds me of how much I miss friends I left behind . . . wayyy over on the opposite side of the country . . . it’s okay.

Twigs Easter Table 024

It’s good to feel sadness over being so far from people that I love.

Twigs Easter Table 021

It reminds me that I’ve been blessed with good, good friends . . .

. . . and family who I love more dearly than they can fathom.

Twigs Easter Table 009

So when I’m forced to slow down and the feelings arise I embrace the sadness, thanking God for the many people He’s placed in my life that have brought me such joy . . . and thanking God for the new friendships He’s developing here in this, our new community.

Last week, since I couldn’t paint or construct or sit typing for very long I went to a favorite new place here in Greenville, SC.

Twigs Easter Table 005

TWIGS is a wonderful home and garden shop where I like to go to soak in beautiful displays and be amazed at the creativity of others.

Twigs Easter Table 006

Last week I went into TWIGS to buy a few tulips for my front door arrangement (check it out HERE) and they allowed me to photograph their Fantastic Easter Table!

Isn’t it over-the-top stunning?

I also snapped a few photos of the display that greets you as you walk in the front door.

Do you see the bushels of mini-watermelons?  This store always brings a great big smile to my face!

I’ll be in a cast for at least five more weeks so you may see the posts slowing down a bit.  While my mind is full of ideas, my right hand isn’t cooperating very well and typing is a SLOW and somewhat painful process.

I hope you were inspired today by some fabulous Easter decor.  For more ideas check out my Pinterest board:  Spring/Easter Ideas  I think you’ll love it!

Blessings,

In bed this morning hoping to stave a cold so I can hop to it (pun intended) this coming week and get ready for Easter. Saw this extraordinary setting and felt better immediately! Thanks for sharing.

    Patti,
Slowing down is a “good thing”, dear friend!!!
Sadness may surface, but blessings abound, also!!!
I, too, have a few places where I go to be inspired
when I’m feeling “blue”!!! Your TWIGS. . .is amazing!!!
I, dear one, am excited about how God is using you
in the lives of your neighbors in your new community!!!
    Sending you a huge “cyber~hug”. . .to let you know. . .
    “You are Loved”!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat
P.S. “I am LOVED, You are LOVED
    I can risk LOVING you. . .
for the One who LOVES me best knows me most.”

Oh my gosh, they have such beautiful things at that shop, Patti! I would probably have spent quite a bit in there! Love all their bunnies and the table looks so pretty.

Patti, wishing you a speedy recovery! It would be difficult to be so far away from your sweet friends, but you my dear have a great positive attitude! This shop is fantastic and I can see how it would help cheer you up. Love the bunny on wheels with the pea pod and the wheelbarrow displays are so darn cute! I have a small strawberry cart. Might need to do something similar for next year. Thanks so much for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann

What a beautiful Easter display, Patti! Must be a lovely store that we’d all love to visit! Also, I’ve suffered a broken wrist myself a couple of years ago (trying to be a good mom and ice skate with my kids….) It is certainly no fun, but things could be much worse, of course. At least it is temporary. I decorated my cast with pretty henna-like designs using a gold marker!! 🙂 And to blow dry my hair….I duct-taped my hair dryer to my daughter’s stand up microphone, then sat on the floor to dry my hair! One must get quite creative when faced with the challenges of using only one hand… Here’s hoping you recover quickly! Cheers, Catherine

What an incredible table and decor! I can relate to family being far away. ‘When you can’t be with the one you love, love the ones you’re with.’ has been my way through this. It requires flexibility, but I/you/we can handle this. With ease. That’s my affirmation, even though, at times, it’s not easy. But by affirming it’s easy, I find I’m already halfway there! Hugs, Rose

Fabolous table decoration! These bunnies are adorable and so cute! Monograms in the plates make it look so stylish and classy. Where I can buy engraved spoons or other cutlery?

My dear friend…. somewhere along the line, I missed that you broke your wrist. My heart goes out to you. Glad it didn’t keep you from the fun of photographing a new favorite store. I’m sure they were blessed and we are too!! [[hugs]] and best wishes for the most speedy recovery!

At first look at the table I thought how I’d love to come to your house for Easter! And at how extravagant and creative you are! Until you said it was a local shop! I’d love to recreate that look in my dining room…..but there are only 3 of us for dinner so we are going out to brunch!
