Heavenly Chocolate Truffles

February 7, 2013 by Patti 22 Comments

Well, here it is, the delicious truffle recipe I promised you in my last post. I waited until my husband was off to his annual physical exam and blood draw appointment before setting to work. I wouldn’t want to be the source of his temptation!

I found this recipe  years ago in a Bon Appetit magazine and held onto it for quite awhile thinking it would be hard. On the contrary, these truffles are so easy to make and so delicious. I’ve linked up the recipe and instructions at the end of this post so let’s just go right to some visuals to draw you in . . .

Six simple ingredients.

Ready to begin cooking!

And voila! Pretty simple right? Okay, I’ve skipped a bunch of steps but I’m in a hurry to get done before hubby gets home!

Can you smell the aroma of your favorite tea steeping?

Can you imagine how it would taste with a bite of rich, sweet chocolate? If only we had an entire afternoon to sit and chat over these delectable goodies . . .SIGH!!!

I put one of each kind of truffle into these cute little ziplock bags and tied them up with a ribbon. I’ll spread the love with some very special friends. Is it wrong to tempt friends? I don’t think so, as long as they are women. Women NEED chocolate, you know.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. How do you show the special people in your life how much they mean to you? Gifts, time, acts of service? For me, words are one of the most important ways of expressing love, and loving words received from others are powerful . . . sometimes even life changing.

I am so blessed with all the wonderful people God has put in my life to love . . . and who have loved me back!

As a person who likes to try new bites, I am trying this one for sure!!
I do like chocolate and yes, the doctors all say that the DARK chocolate, within reason, is really healthy and you SHOULD have some to help the arteries to your heart. I do know it is a heart healthy snack but not to over indulge!! I love your site and your so inspiring to me and I have learned so much from your site. I love the fact that you show and tell the steps in the process to achieve the results, which I need. I know I am not all thumbs and can accomplish my projects if I have pics, which your the only one I can get help from! You have saved me so much money and my husband and I THANK YOU!!!:) I don’t know where you bought all the items you have on your site but I want to move where you live so I can shop with you:)))) I love vintage and old things so keep the post coming!!!
God has blessed me through your site and has blessed you with the ability to help others like me. If you lived closer I would attend a workshop if you had one, maybe you should hold one???
Blessings and hugs, most of all, THANK YOU!!!!

That is so sweet Sandra. Thank you for your kind comments. I wish you could go junk shopping with me too! I don’t know where you live but FS is spreading internationally and maybe there will be one in your area soon. The website shows locations! Blessings to you.

I’m visiting from the blog party, going at a snail’s pace I have to admit. We share the same style. I’m particulary pleased with the transformation of the china hutch as I would like to do something similar to a piece we inherited. We also share some goals regarding healing. I have great respect for my Quaker heritage but no longer follow one specific religion. I am starting a new online project to do “my bit”. I hope you’ll visit.

Patty, these are so pretty and I love your lovely tea! I am not a big fan of chocolate, but love me a truffle now and then. lol! I give all of my grandies a little something to show how much I love them. But I too think that actions and words are worth more than any gift. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
    hugs,
    Jann
