Turn and Face the Changes

A lot of words have been written about change. Songs have been sung. Tears have been cried. And heels have been dug in. 😉

When change arrives, we have three choices. We can run from it. Or stubbornly try to resist it. But we always have the option to embrace it.

Today I’m back to share Part Six of an 8-part series on Perseverance that three great writer friends and I have been working on together. These dear and beautiful friends are:

Mary Geisen, Holly Barrett, and Debbie Kitterman.

If you haven’t already read them you can click on the titles below to catch up on each of the previous posts in the Perseverance series: 🙂

  1. Bravely Overcoming Fear
  2. Persevering in Recovery
  3. When Prayers Remain Unanswered
  4. The Sting of Rejection
  5.  Wishing, Waiting & Pursuing

Today’s post, entitled Turn & Face the Changes, is written by Holly Barrett, and hoo-boy, has she been through a lot of changes these last few years!  My head spins at the thought of it.  You’re going want to read her full post and you can link to that article right here:  Turn & Face the Changes

Change is good. Embrace it. 🙂

I once took a class that included a personality test and a very small percentage of people enjoy change. Yet, getting out of our comfort zone is what causes the greatest growth! I agree, change is good.

I’m heading over to read Holly’s words and expecting them to be convicting because change is not my favorite thing . . .

So thankful that you four friends are persevering in this series!

Enjoyed reading Holly’s post today. Exhausting for sure but blessings abound in spite of it.

Yes they do Sharon. I can’t think of anything nicer for her than to be living close to her daughter and grandkids once again. Family is everything. 🙂

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a big fan of change. Especially not the ones I didn’t see coming. So Holly is right, while embracing change is possible, for some it’s a challenge. I’m going to try and focus on the part where she says, yes! it can be done!

I am not a fan of surprise change either Marva and I don’t think most of us are. All I know is that it’s a good thing God holds my life in his hands! Thanks for stopping in 🙂

Change is difficult, even when it is for the best. However, I have always tried to think it is simply life. We change every day of our lives. The people around us and things around us do the same. Change has gotten a bad reputation. There is always something good to come from it.

Change. It has indeed gotten a bad reputation Sandra. I’m in the middle of writing the next post in this series about the need to walk through pain to get to the other side of it, and to receive freedom and healing. That is a change for the good. Thanks friend.

Patti, change can really undo me! I’m not really a girl who likes change so it puts me in a place of complete trust. Happy to be visiting you today from Holley Gerth’s place.

And that is a good place to be . . . trusting God completely. 😉

I will admit, I do not enjoy change. I will also admit, change tends to bring growth in my life so it truly is a good thing – even if I do not like it 🙂 This has been a wonderful series!

Change can often be a good thing, causing us to grow and develop but a massive challenge if it involves coming to terms with a loss for example. It is sometimes human nature to stay in our comfort zones, even though they hinder us.
